Type: Part-time (Remote)

Location: Global (preferred: Africa or remote-friendly time zones)

Compensation: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000/month + performance bonus per resolved case and equity (with vesting period)

Milestone is a platform that helps freelancers and remote teams get paid securely and on time — using milestone-based contracts, escrow protection, and fair dispute resolution. We’re building the infrastructure of trust for the future of work.

Role Summary

As a Dispute Resolution Officer, you will be the human layer of trust in the Milestone platform. You’ll handle conflicts between clients and freelancers, review milestone disputes, and make quick, fair, and unbiased decisions to protect the integrity of our payout system.

Responsibilities

• Review reported disputes between freelancers and clients
• Investigate submitted work, milestone history, chats, and logs
• Make impartial decisions to release or reverse payments
• Escalate legal or edge cases when needed
• Keep turnaround time for resolution under agreed SLA (e.g., 48 hours)
• Work with our team to improve dispute policies and user education

Requirements

• Strong communication and mediation skills
• High emotional intelligence and logical reasoning
• Experience with freelance, legal, or customer operations is a plus
• Ability to make confident decisions and stand by them
